Can i visit india as soon as i file H1B?? Pleease Answer ...its very emergency

[B]Hi My name is Sanith. I'am an international student. I have done my graduation in computer science and i applied for my OPT, 2 months ago. I already have a job offer, as soon as i get my OPT card i can join my job. But in the mean while i need to visit india for my sisters marriage which is on 20th April. My question is after filing my H1B in April 1st week, Can i visit india and come back in a month? Also Can my employer file H1B for me when I am in India? its really emergency please answer folks [/B]

Hi Sanith. I have exactly the same situation. My sisters marraige is on March 25. I applied for my OPT extension on Jan4th. Still waiting for my OPT card. Can I know when you applied for OPT? Also, I am filing H1b this April. Thanks.

hello, My case was received on DEC 24th and my start date is on FEB 27th. I heard that due to high number of applications its getting delayed.
