Hi,
My question is a little generic. I work for an employer which is not e-verified. However, they are filing my H1-B in April. My Opt ends on June 21. I have read online that there is no last date to apply for Opt Stem Extension however, DHS should receive the application before the OPT expires and one can work on expired OPT for 180 days. I am just making sure that that is legit. If yes, then if I apply for extension beginning June (by when the H1 lottery results will be out and would give me time to jump to an e-verified employer if need be), I would still be in a safe zone?
Help will be appreciated!
Thanks a lot!
