OPT STEM extension

Hi,

My OPT expires on May 31st, 2016
My company A which was e-verified got acquired by company B(not e-verified)
Company B is in the process of filing my H1-B. They are not planning to enroll for e-verification.

If H1-B is picked in the lottery, then I can continue working through CapGap without any problem.
But, If H1-B is not picked then I need to look for an employer who is e-verified and apply for STEM. I will surely run out of time here as I will get my H1-B result in May. (premium processing has been denied)

So, my question is
- While I continue to work for Company B, Can I apply for STEM through Future employer Company C's (e-verification) ? Company C would probably be a consultancy that I know of and they can provide me a job starting June 1 , 2016 in the same STEM field.

The answer was Yes. I can apply for stem extension if I can provide proof that I will be working for the e-verified company beginning June 1.

you can work for multiple employers on opt so you can update with the university with another employer who has e verified and then you apply for stem .check with your DSO .whether you will be having a problem with company B

If you don’t apply via Premium Processing, then it’s unlikely that you will get an answer for H-1B before June.
You can file for the STEM extension through a future employer. Also, ask your employer if you can file by PP if you will pay for it (not them).
