Expedite OPT

I applied for opt in November 2015. Now I have a job offer with joining date Jan 25 and I will lose my job if I don’t have my EAD card approved by joining date. I have expedited my request to USCIC but they are asking to send a letter from my employer, I have only offer letter and when I asked HR about this they are not ready to give any other letter. My question is:
Does only offer letter and my explanation letter sufficient to expedite or is employer letter mandatory?

No its not, ask your employer to give you in writing that they will withdraw the offer if you don't join by aforementioned date.

Give a call to USCIS customer service and also send the offer letter through your University . They will expedite your application but no guarantee at all . I did the same and got my EAD card in 2 weeks . Hope this helps.

I guess usually it takes about 2-3 weeks but not sure how much time is it going to take right now .

Offer letter is fine. Escalate the issue while you call to the national customer center.

I have the same situation. I have spoke USCIS customer service representative and asked them to expedite the process, they have put a request to expedite but didn't ask me to send an offer letter. Do I have to wait for their notice or send offer letter to them?

You can also ask the employer to delay your joining date.
