Hello everyone.
My STEM extension is expiring on Feb 14th, 2016. My current employer has agreed to file for h1b in 2016 only if I can continue working for them after Feb 14th. I would like to know about my options here.
Somebody told me about Day 1 CPT universities. I came to know about one such university named Globe University. Their classes start on Feb 15th
for their MSM program and they would grant me CPT from Day 1. However, I am little reluctant about taking this route due to the recent news about Indian students being deported from such universities. I would like to know if I can rely on this university. In addition, they said that I will have to attend classes on every saturday. I would like to know how strict they are about this.
One last question. Let's assume I start Globe university from Feb 15th and have my employer file h1b on Apr 1st. Can I drop out from this univeristy once my h1 has been applied/ Will I be eligible for h1b CAP Gap ?
Thank you in advance for your help.
