Spun off to a new company, opt extension question

My division has been spun off into a new company today. My opt extension has been approved yesterday under the old company name.

Questions:

1. I am assuming the new company is not yet e verified. Would that be a concern?

2. What happens to my opt extension? Should that be started afresh?

3. I'm sure most start up employees might have faced this issue. Has anyone been in the same boat?
