Hi... I have my OPT start date on March 4, 2016 and I don't have SSN. I should apply for SSN after I get my EAD card. My name to too lengthy (34 Characters)..I have seen issues regarding SSN with long names..I've been told by my friends that it takes 2-3 months to get SSN for people with lengthy names. My question is that, I have to report my employer name to my college before 90 days of OPT start date to avoid 90 day unemployment period. If at all my SSN application takes time more than those 90 days? Can I report to college without having my SSN? please clarify...
