OPT STEM extension RFE

Hi,
I was enrolled in a MS program which was non-STEM initially.
While I was on OPT, my school changed the CIP code for my program from a non-stem program to stem. There was no change in the curriculum of the program, it is exactly same as I did.
Now I have applied for STEM extension and I got a RFE asking why there was a difference in the CIP code on my initial OPT I-20 and the STEM extension I-20.
Has anyone else gone through this.

I will be sending a letter to USCIS explaining all this, but can there be issues with my case?
