  • Stem extension

Hello everyone. I have a question regarding stem extension. Does stem extension requires all employers during the opt one year period should be e-verified or the last employer who wants to extend stem extension has to be e-verified?

After completing Masters degree I received online training with fees with a consultancy. As a new student I did not know how to check whether a company is e-verified or not. when they approach me at the very beginning, they wrote in email that after the training they will place me to a job and refund my fees. Once I joined with their project they will give me a stem extension letter for stem extension when needed. But later when I became familiar with checking e-verified company and found that there name is not listed in the uscis e-verified list. Just before 90 days (on 85 days) I left them and joined with a new e-verified company. In this case will there be any problem to get stem extension. Please help me about this.

Only the company that you are going to work for during your STEM Extension period needs to be E-Verified. The companies you work for while on regular OPT do not have to be signed up with E-Verify.
