OPT For 9 months

Hello friends,

I have a quick question Regarding OPT card, My Case was approved But on my opt card it's printed like start date: sept 8 2015 and Expire date: may 7 2016, So it's totally 9 month, So i called to USCIS and informed about the situation and they suggested to make a expedite request..

So anyone got this situation.... i need some help...

1. I didnt taken any cpt's in the school.....
2. will my start date changes....
3. How many days Uscis takes to Replace my card.
4. Will they extend the Expire date.

1 . It shouldn't matter you should get 12 months OPT
2 . No the start date won't change , you will get replacement card with same start date
3. Follow USCIS instructions, you will soon get a replacement card and you can resume working . Replacement cards take anywhere from 15 - 30 days
4 . No USCIS usually don't change the expiry date

it depends on your graduation date .. end date can not be more than 14 months from grad date ..

u must have graduated by March 7 2015. remember ur maximum start date can be 60th day from graduation. u would have applied late.
