Working with a non-profit organization

Hi,
My employer has got me a job with a non-profit organization on OPT. Do you recommend working with a non-profit organization or instead I should search for a software company. Would there by any problem filing for stem opt or H1b with a non-profit organization?

I have friends working for non profit. If the non profit is e-verified and u r from a stem qualified field no issues in getting stem extension. Also, with non profit you do not have to go to the lottery system .. You apply for h1b and you get it ... as simple as that but do keep one thing in mind this h1b is a non profit h1b visa you cannot change jobs to a regular corporate. If you want to change you need to apply for regular h1b ( the one with the lottery system ) and then work after obtaining the visa.
