Travel to India when OPT is under processing.

Hi, I will be graduating this December and have a job offer. I will be applying for OPT during the 1st week of November and have my joining date as Jan 11, 2016. Is it advisable to travel to India in [B]December [/B]while my OPT application is under processing? It would be of great help if someone could explain about it.

not advisable since you leave usa you will become out of status and once you come back to usa you will be instatus this change can be seen with the change in your I 94 so .it is not advisable to travel during opt under process

You are expecting USCIS to process your application in 60 days which is impossible with high application traffic....

Better get your EAD card first and then plan to travel.
