Hi, I heard that USCIS has issued the EAD OPT extension card until Feb 12th, 2016 for students who applied for stem extension recently. Can anyone confirm if it is true ?

Recently there was a post shared by one of our friend in DesiOPT. He shared an E-mail that he had received as a reply from USCIS for the same question. As per that E-Mail USCIS said all the STEM OPT extensions approved before 02/12/2016 will be approved for 17 months. (One should understand that OPT will be approved but EADs will be revoked if DHS doesn't react before the deadline. Judgement says the STEM OPT extension will be "vacated" meaning removed form federal register completely)
