Travel and return towards the end of OPT.

Hello Guys,

I need an urgent reply from your side. I am a Dec 2014 Electrical engineer (MSEE) graduate, I am currently on my OPT which is valid till 05 Feb 2016, due to some serious family issues I am required to travel to India in Dec and return back on the 14 Jan 2016, since my OPT EAD card is still valid till 05 Feb 2016 (21 days after my return to USA) will it be a problem for me to re enter USA and resume my employment?? I do have my OPT STEM extension I 20 signed by the DSO and I also have an employer letter for my return?? Is it safe to travel?? Pls reply asap ..thanks in advance.

Bcz if ur opt extension is in process and u travel it is voided. Please correct if I am wrong
