OPT and cpt application

Hi,
I have a quick question!. I have changed many employers and i am applying for opt extension this month and i dont have much hope on getting my opt extension approved.So i want to apply for cpt college which starts from january to be on safe side.
So will it be a problem if i apply for both opt extension and cpt at same time. Will it create a problem as my sevis would be monitored??

apply opt now and take admisiion in the collage where you would like .wait till the end of december 90 days will be completed and if you still wont get opt then transfer your sevis to the new university just before the dead lines of the new university.
