I assume if you join a new employer, you will need to submit a new i9 and w2 to your new HR. There is nothing called quit process. Fill in your new i9 and w2 and submit, you will be fine. Correct me if I am wrong.

You have to fill up an I-9 and a W-4 whenever you start full-time employment (not contractor work). The I-9 must be completed within 3 days of your start date. If you have already begun working and haven’t completed your I-9, you need to do that immediately.
Your previous employer will show in their records that you have been terminated. There is nothing further you need to do. There is no “quit process”. If you were to quit any job, just give your notice and leave – there’s no government paperwork to fill out (including for the employer).
