Stem Extension Revoked--- Fake or Real

Hi,

I recently came across few blogs on happy schools that say Stem Extension is being revoked by Feb 2016. It said that the DHS has to approve it by Feb 12th, 2016 . Just wanted to know if there is any truth behind that news or is it just a rumor?

This is not a rumor - a simple Google search will get you details (“STEM OPT court”). In a case with the US District Court for DC, the court ruled that DHS and not properly announced and implemented the rules for STEM OPT and vacated the STEM OPT program. However, the Court has given DHS 6 months to fix the issue, during which time the program is allowed to continue.
