OPT Denied

Graduation: May15th
I-20 received : Apr 17th
I-765 case received by USCIS : May 21st

Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization was denied on July 31st

I guess the reason is 1month validity of i20 has expired.

What can I do now? Pls help!

Unless you can show that you submitted the I-765 late because of some reason that is not your fault (sudden illness, delay by school officials, etc.), then there really is no alternative except to leave the country or to re-enroll in school for a new course of study.

i applied for an appeal because it was the fault of the school for sending out the OPT application late. But the appeal was denied by USCIS saying that it is 60 days past my graduation date (however the first denial from USCIS itself came only after 60 days from my graduation). My SEVIS status is now complete. Is there any other option for me?

seek attorney's advice. talk to your dso, get a new i-20 and file for mtr.

As soon you get the denial letter file mtr within 30 days. Talk to dso about it and prepare docs. MTR takes a lot of time to process though.
