  • Stem-Extension OPT RFE on E-verify Identification Number.

    Hello Everyone.
My Current OPT period is ending on August 10th.
I have applied for Stem Extension in the month of May.
I received an RFE stating that the Company e-verify number provided in the Application I765 is wrong and asked me to provide with the Correct E-verification Number.
My Company provided me with the Tax Identification Number instead of E-Verify.
Now my question is how to respond for the query?
Do I need to submit the Correct E-verify number from the Company on their Letter head and include a Offer letter or do I also need to prove the Company is E-verified.
    Please Help me out.
I have very less time Left.
    Thanks in Advance.

You don't have to prove that your company is e-verified. If your company is e-verified, uscis will verify that themselves. Just get a letter from your employer mentioning the company's e-verify number.

Your employer should provide the E-verify number on their letterhead and explain that the FEIN was provided in error. It may be prudent to include proof that they are enrolled in E-verify as well (USCIS generally won’t penalize you for giving them more than they asked for).

Remember, you are allowed to continue working for 180 days past your OPT expiration as long as your STEM extension is pending, so no need to get overly worried about time. See here: http://www.ice.gov/doclib/sevis/pdf/...nce_042010.pdf.
