EAD card - Spelling mistake -

Hello everyone,

I 'm currently working for a client X and received my EAD card last month, only to know that I have a spelling mistake on my name. I have sent an email to USCIS asking for a replacement. Do they take 90 days again, even if its a mistake at their end? Is there a way to expedite this process? Also, now that if we have to resend the wrong EAD card to them, am I still authorized to work for this period meanwhile?

Its urgent guys. Please suggest. Thanks in advance!

1)no they wont take that long 2) no 3) you can start working keep a color copy and scanned copy of u r opt card before sending

If your card has a minor mistake , you can always correct it later during stem extension or h1b and ignore the error for now . I was advised the same by many attorneys , verification is based on A Number make sure it is correct . ! I have personal experience here

Hello,
I got my EAD card and there was DOB error on that. So I requested for updated one. Because of EAD error, I am not able to get SSN and my OPT days are already started. Can you please advise me how can I save my unemployment days?

Can I do unpaid or volunteer work? Or can I submit offer letter?
