Travel without EAD

Hello,
I am experiencing serious problem. My EAD was lost in mail by USPS (however they say that it was delivered). I had to go home for family reasons. While i was home i applied for visa F1 with an approval notice and i was able to get a new visa. In addition to this documents i have new issued I20, approval notice, visa, and i have a letter form school adviser that i have never received EAD and in addition i have never broke the law. I have several interviews when i arrive but i dont have a job yet and my opt just started two days ago. will i have problems on the border at JFK and will i be able to enter without EAD?

You need not mention about lost Ead unless they ask. You only need to show i20 and visa.. Show approval notice and the letter when asked about Ead... You can mention you have several interviews lined up, carry all the proof regarding those interviews and job search when asked about the employment..also carry the proof that you have enough money to support yourself while searching for the job... I think this is the best you can do and by rule, they should allow you..

Nothing to worry abt ead card but jfk and chicago are not recommendable for people on opt dallas washington dc atlanta are preferable and i just came 15 days ago and atlanta is better

I would recommend you to enter the city where your interview is or closest to it.. It will be easier for you to enter that city than any other..that's my personal opinion.

Did you apply for replacement EAD? You may face issues at the border if your OPT was approved, but you don’t have the OPT card and you don’t have proof that you have applied for the replacement EAD like a receipt notice.
