Travel query while in OPT

Hello all. Thanks for all the wonderful people out there helping others. I have a question regarding travel during OPT. So, my OPT started on 3/11/2015 i.e. March 11th 2015 and is valid till 2/28/2016. I am planning a trip to India in December 2015. The trip will be from 10th December to 25th December. I will apply for my STEM extension after coming back from the trip. My question is :
1) Will there be any issues because I will have only about 2 months left in my OPT when I will return to the US?
2) Also, what all documents do you think I should have with me?

1. No. As long as you have a valid F-1 visa in your passport, paystubs/letter from your employer, your OPT card, and a valid I-20 endorsed for travel, you should be fine.
2. See above.

1. Shouldn't be an issue.
2. Valid Passport (valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of the re-entry to the U.S.)
Valid F-1 student visa in passport (except students from Canada)
OPT I-20 with a valid travel endorsement from OIS (signatures are valid for 6 months)
Valid Employment Authorization Document (EAD) card
Proof of current employment or offer letter

Opt visa stamping is not a big issue if you have all the necessary and correct documents with you, rest depends on the mood of the officer who will be assisting you at that time... Good luck...

Can you extend your f1 visa expiry date due to the stem opt extension?

I don't think the OP is talking about F1 visa expiry. I believe the topic is about the expiration date of initial OPT and not of F1 VISA
