  • I-765/EAD waiting for security check beyond 90 days.

Today my application completed 99 days. my status says"name was updated". And today I got a reply (shown below) from USCIS.

"We have placed your case on a processing hold because the required security checks remain pending. Until we receive the results of these security checks, we cannot move forward on your case. We require the results of security checks before we make a decision on any pending case.

We cannot predict when we will receive the results of these security checks. Please be assured that we will make every effort to make a decision in your case as soon as the security checks are complete.

We hope this information is helpful to you."

Anybody familiar with this situation? Is this normal? Any advice would be appreciated.

I received a processing hold pending security check soon after I raised an expedite request based on existing job offer.

venky433 - What is the status on your case? Did you take any action after this?

I'm also in the same situation bro.. Please help me out guys

I faced this when my status was as "case was received" when i call them on 75th day. On 90th day again i called them. At that time they said my is waiting for adjudication. On 120th day they updated my case with "RFE". They are asking for hell lot of documents. I'm working on those docs right now.
