I withdrawal the course for family emergency

Hi everyone
During my Masters (USA F1),I came India on family emergency after withdrawal my course ( i requested leave of absence for university but they says i have to withdraw course so dont have other option to do)
now i am ready to go back to continue my masters course i contacted university i sent mails even i didn't get any reply from university so i want make transfer to other university,could u plz help me for this ,can i make transfer with same SEVIS or i have to take new sevis NUmber.....thank u

I am also in same situation.I done my first masters in abc university.after my 12 month opt.I registered for second masters in xyz university and came back to india without completing my semester due to family emergency.my visa expires in 2015 December

some people saying that I can go back to the university which I got stamped in visa.Can you Please help me out.

You will need to apply to a new school, and they will need to give you a new I-20. You will also need to get a new visa.

I'm assuming that you're on active F1 and sevis status. You can come to US and then head to the college you want to transfer to, the sevis will be taken care.

Thank you for the reply , university mailed me that they started reactivating my sevis but the processes would take up to 3 months???? why that much time they need to activate sevis?
