Will not getting paid during the duration of OPT affect my OPT Extension application?

I have been in a desi consultancy for the entire duration of my OPT now, but I havent got a project yet. Which means I havent had a salary yet.

Now that my OPT period is ending, I need to apply for OPT-Extension.

So my question is, will me not getting paid during OPT affect my OPT-Extension application?
