OPT case still pending

Hi,
I'm F1 student and I have applied for OPT on 23rd Feb and my case was received by USCIS on 2nd March, 2015. There is no progress in my case from last 79days. I called USCIS and raised a service request. They sent me an email mentioning that my case is waiting for security clearance and they cannot do anything until they receive security clearance.

I mentioned start date as April 29th, 2015 but still I didnt receive my OPT card and there is no progress in my case. I would like to know what to do about my case. How long it may take to get my card. Will my OPT date would be the date which I mentioned in I20 or will USCIS will provide a different start date?

It's normal .. I got same problem.you will get your OPT within 90 days. OPT start date will be the day when they delivered your OPT if your OPT start date is before it.

It will take time just wait as 90 days is the deadline time. If it exceeds that time contact a congressman and raise a service request to uscis

In your case I dont think they can speed up the process .usually if you have many I 20 gone to a different country on visiting etc...they will do some deep checks and cannot approve until the verification is done it may take longer but I hope you will get soon

may be you would like to visit local uscis office and ask them..

But end date can be max of 14 months from grad date
