OPT Card will delay by 3 more months-Help me

I am Graduating in may. So, I have applied for opt last month . I have received a document . And my intern director asked me to check whether the name and date of birth . There is a small mistake in my name. I have call to the number that is in the document. I have rectified it . But she said that my OPT card takes 3 months to come.But my start date is in june. Help me out.

3 months refers to 90 day normal processing time for OPT application. It doesnt take that much time in most cases!

I have been through the same phase, i called uscis and reported the same situation , they filed an emergency case issue, asking me to fax copies of my passport, dob etc (for verifying my r name) .. with in 7 days i got my new opt card...

It wont take dat long..dey r just mentioning it to be on safe side..if u call them and request them..they will escalate your case..

You can call uscis and expediate your application on a financial loss basis. This comes under uscis expediation criteria and you can expect your card in about 3 weeks

they will pause the days counted so you might not loose any days in your opt
