Name wrong on OPT

Hello all,

I got my name wrong on OPT extension I797C receipt. I got my end date as May18th on my previous EAD and got the new receipt yesterday with a wrong name. Can I continue to work with my company?

Yes, you can continue to work. Call USCIS and tell them to correct the name.

Dude.. Did you read the notice... The notice does say to contact USCIS if any particular on the I-797C is incorrect.

FOr the question, Yes you can contiue to work for 180 days with a pending petition, until a final decision is made....
