  • Duplication in I765 application

Currently, USCIS has two I765 application of mine.
I mailed one I765 application for OPT extension on February 9 to USCIS Dallas, and USPS apparently lost it. I called to USCIS customer service on about beginning of March and one immigration officer recommended me to send another package since it has already been more than 3 weeks old. Then I sent another package with new I20 to USCIS Dallas on March first week and USCIS received it on March 11, which is already in process. After that, I arranged with USPS not to deliver my previous package, which is apparently lost, to USCIS if in case they find it future (to avoid the duplication). However, this package too was delivered on March 30 anyway. Though, I have stopped payment on the check with this package, the check was cashed anyway, and now I received NOA (receipt letter) on April 4 for this application too with different case number. Now I have two I765 applications with different case numbers.
Did anybody have similar situation before?
Do these two applications intefere each other, do I have to withdraw second application? Or I can just wait until the first one will get approved?
    Thank you in advance

You need to withdraw one of the applications. When you sent the second package, did you include an explanation regarding the first package? If so, then withdraw the first applications.

Call USCIS and explain the situation to a representative.

According to USCIS agent you can get your first application cancelled by explaining situation to them. Two application won't interfere with each other till they get approved.
