Stem Extention Vs H1B capgap

Right now Iam on OPT and not yet used my stem extention since my company is not e-verified. My OPt ends on May 9th and my company applied for premium processing of H1B. But I wanted to know the following question

Can I join an everified company with joining date as 20th may and apply me stem extention . If I get picked for H1B will the cap gap superseed my stem extention and retain by H1B. or will I lose My H1B?

1 yes .. But u have to apply before may 9 to eligible for stem ext.
2 stem ext and h1 b will not conflict each other ..

If you get picked for H1b I would suggest to stick with the same employer till its approved. But if you need to move, I would move after Oct 1 and check with new employer if they will file H1b again for the move.

1.Your STEM extension should be filed before OPT expiry. You can cetainly move to a E-Verify employer. Gap of 11 days between OPT and EXtension is advisabe if you have 11 days remaining in your grace period of 2 months. Make sure you advice your DSO on the change of employers.
2.CAP-GAP + H1b is independant to STEM Extension.
