Incorrect Valid and expiry date in EAD card

Hello,

I applied for post-completion OPT and I received my EAD card. The validity date(6/10/15) and expiry date(6/8/16) on EAD card did not match with the recommended start date(6/1/15) and expiry date(5/31/16) in I20. Will that be a problem? When I contacted my DSO she told that it is fine if I can change my start date. I contacted my Employer and they are fine to change the start date. Should I send the card for correction or should I start working from the date given in card which I received? Did anyone encounter this situation? Could someone please suggest me on what would be the ideal thing to do?

I think your question is if you can start working from Jun 1 2015.

You forgot to mention when you (will) graduate and thus I cannot give a correct reply. Thus I am ssuming you will graduate sometime after April 9 for my reply.

If you employer is ok to change start date to 6/10 then go for it. School can always issue an updated i-20.
Getting into the hassele of getting the card corrected can be tiresome and the wait can be hard.

But if you have already graduated or will graduate before April 9th then you NEED to have the card sent for dates updation.
