I dont think that would be a problem as you have attached the passport copy. If they see anything wrong, they will raise a RFE.

In the card it will only show the country of birth. Wait until you receive the receipt notice and check with service center for further steps.

Similar thing happened with me. U dont actually need the visa stamped on d new passport for any particular reason. If u are nt planning to go out of USA from now until h1b is approved, u can very well stay in US and travel within the country. If you still want to be on safe side and get the f1 visa stamped then its a risk u must b willing to take.

Its not so complicated to get stamping before or after completion of Graduation if you have been maintaining status and not playing with the system.... if you understand what I mean. Some one who told you its hard to get visa after graduation was playing with the system and thus the consulate made it hard for them. If you are worried about stamping go To canada for stamping. This is just my 2c. I hope you have a copy of your previous Visa....

My friend had same problem. He went to india had his stamp and came back. I think it's smart move to go for stamping.

Hi I'm also facing the same problem, do we need any kind of financial documents to do the re stamping and are their any chances of denial of visa? As I'm planning to back in May, I still have an year of my graduation and my gpa is around 3.5

No I didn't show any bank loans. Just my own money and I don't have any gaps as such, I've been a full time student from last year

Then no finacial docs are required. But if you are going back to the country you originally took stamping from, they might want to look at the current bank statement reflecting the balance funds you will need to spend.
