Master's degree problem

Hello,

Recently I got an email from the university saying I havent completed my master's degree requirement yet. I was authorized for the post completion OPT and got the EAD card. After graduating in May saying I only needed to submit one form to be cleared for my degree and now in March I get an email saying I cannot be cleared because i need to take some courses. I have already been working full time on post completion, but because I'm not cleared for the degree, is it a violation? What should I do? Please help.
