  • My OPT denied due to late submission ---- Urgent Please help

Hi.. I graduated in August 2014 and applied OPT in October. I gave my school address for my OPT application. On Feb 13 I got mail from my college that USCIS had declined my OPT application on Jan 6 due to late submission of my OPT application. It says I cannot appeal but can open case using 290B within 33 days. The 33 days from Jan 6 already expired but my college intimated me about this on Feb 13. Is there any way for me to maintain the status now. Please advice me on how to proceed. I am very stressed and helpless now. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I think your packet must have reached USCIS before 60 days after your completion date

this person is in trouble and he needs proper guidance. If you can't do that, don't even bother to post such criticizing comments. You or me have no idea what situation he/she was in

Can somebody tell me, why is border crossing necessary in his case?

First - you have 60 days to leave US after your course is completed . Assuming , you have not completed 60 days ,the best bet is to get into some school(if u don't want to leave US) . Second - spend some money n contact immigration lawyer , there is always a chance lawyer can fight back with DHS ... Don't waste time...

You should go see an attorney immediately.
