Error in I-765

Hi,

I have applied for OPT STEM extension through a law firm at my company. After they sent out the application, I requested for the I-765 for reference and found out they made a mistake in the "place of birth". They had mentioned place of issue instead of place of birth.

I still haven't received a receipt. What can I do to solve this error?

I haven't heard back from the law firm yet, but would like to know your opinions on the fastest way to solve this.

Once you have the receipt notice, you can try to call USCIS to correct the error.

call 800 number and raise a ticket

Create a service request or wait until they request the details.

[DesiOPT-FaceBook-Fan]

Wait until you get the receipt and then call the USCIS on how to correct the mistake. They will ask you to write a letter about it and send it to the service center.
