Mechanical engineer working in IT industry on java-Is it a Problem

Hello guys

I am working in a E-Verified desi consultancy with a client ABC on java for last 7 months. My opt period is getting end on june 16,2015. I am applying for opt stem extension in april.. Being a mechanical engineer and working for IT industry, will that be a problem for my extension and receive a RFE. Kindly Help me out.

Its not a problem if you have done in masters which will allow you to apply for stem extenstion

Try applying earlier. Ideal application date should be between 120-90 days before the OPT end date.
