Can I study and work on pre opt?

I will be graduating in summer and I will have only 1 course left in summer which I can take online. I wanted to know that whether if I can apply for pre opt and then work full time if I get an offer and simultaneously complete 1 course online that I am left with. Can I work and study under pre opt in summer? Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks.

You can only work part-time (up to 20 hours a week) with pre-completion OPT if you are taking classes.

No matter what, you can work full time 40 hours if you have only one course and your school accepts in any semester. You can be on CPT instead of wasting OPT considering the fact that after this CPT you should have only less than 1 year in total of 40 hours(Full time) CPT. To Answer your Questions: 1- YES 2-YES. My Advice would be Dont waste OPT if you can get your CPT done because in most schools when their student is in Good Academic Standing and have only once course they will allow for Full Time CPT. But keep in mind that 20Hour CPT has no issues, but 40 Hour CPT should be Less than one Year in Total before applying OPT.

yes you can work but make sure you use Pre opt/CPT not more than 11 months.
