OPT extention application

Hi Guys,

I am in my initial opt period now and my opt expires in july 9th 2015.I am in my internship right now and It ends in March 17 2015.I am not sure about what is going happen after that whether my internship would be converted full time or not.I have another job offer awaiting and the said they could hire me only march last week (unsure) .Could please suggest when can i apply for opt extension

You can apply for STEM OPT extension up to 120 days before your current OPT expires. In order to apply for STEM OPT, your employer must be an E-Verified Employer.

Wait until you know for sure whether you will have an offer from the new employer. OPT Extension is employer specific, so you need to have an employer offer letter and eVerified employer for the OPT Ext to pass.

You should apply stem ext before atleast 90 days prior to your initial opt expire date.. You must have a valid offer letter from an e verified company..
