moving on to the question as lot of people are facing the opt delay issues.
I applied to opt on Oct 23 '14 . as of now (01/20/15) the status of my case is "case was received". I called uscis on 76th days, they gave me a service req number & asked me to wait for 15-30 odd days. i said okay. And today (01/20/15) i successfully completed my 90days(frustated). I called them again & said the same story. They apologized me for the delay & said as it was more than 90days they will be putting another service request & also for the interim ead card.
After that they gave me another service req number. And said they will be reviewing your case & you will be updated at the earlier. MY OPT STARTS ON FEB 6th.
1)I m bit tensed about this interim ead card. What does it mean?
2)can i apply for the SSN with the interim ead card ( if i get it at the earlier). Because the consultancy has to start marketing with SSN. So any other options that i have about the marketing with out an SSN.
