How does working from home on a US job in a India work?

Hi! I'm a new grad, working on a contract position in US for some time now and my contract has almost ended. I got an offer from another company (X), which quite small (an LLC) but with better responsibilities. However, I'm planning to leave the US permanently in a few months and go back to India. This new company X has employees working in India also. Before I ask my manger, I'd like to know how the process and the pay work if I have to leave the US, go back to my country and work in the same position.
PS- Currently, I'm on my post completion OPT. Also, I'm not sure if those people in India work from home or if there's another branch there (which I don't think is the case). Whatever the working place might be, could you please answer how the pay will be affected.
PPS- My employment is not through any consultancy.

Firstly, check if there is another branch in India. A quick Google search on the company should reveal the answers. If there is no other branch in India and the people work from home they probably will be independent contractors (freelance) - this may be the way your manager would handle it were you to move back to India and still work for the company. You would be responsible for your own taxes etc. and you wouldn't get any of the benefits like holiday pay or sickness pay. Consider whether you are happy with this before you speak to your manager. Consider also whether you could realistically do the job from India, as it is probably unlikely that a small company will pay to fly you over to the US for meetings and training!
