Regarging the OPT

Hi Applied for OPT and have a graduation problem...
My opt start date is on 9 feb and i need to retake 2 more courses in which i got C and F.So can you people please help me out what to do ...Am in total confusion..and my university international officer is asking me to work only in the local city where my college is resided.

1. Should i cancel my OPT, does this cause any effect in future?
2.when i met my international officer he is saying to work as Part-time OPT??
3.what is meant by Part-time OPT??
