Card in production, SEVIS shows OPT request pending

Hello,

The status of my application changed to card in production but when I went to my DSO to get a new OPT approved I20, they said that the SEVIS record still shows as case pending. Does it take some time for USCIS to update the status in SEVIS or should I do something about it?

It may take time. Wait until you get the EAD card and go back to DSO to check. If the status still hasn’t changed, then the DSO will need to put in a request for a “Data Fix”.

Yes. Your DSO will issue a new i 20, which says OPT approved.

Wait till u receive ur opt card in ur hand. Then request a new I-20, if it still shows opt request pending then request your DSO to file for a change request .
