Mistake on OPT EAD Card

Hi all,

I have applied for post-completion opt, but received pre-completion opt printed on my OPT card. When I verified my previous I-765 copy, I noticed that under the 16th column, there was a mistake printed by my university. The eligilibility code printed was c3a whereas it should be c3b. Could anybody suggest a best way to get my card corrected at the earliest possible.

If the error was caused by you or the school, you need to file for a new card with new fee. Check the instructions on the Form I-765 Instructions. You should also go see the international student office at your school immediately to see how they can expedite the process since it was their mistake.
