OPT from ITU.EDU

Hi Everybody,

I reside in California and I'm currently on OPT which expires by mid 2015. I am planning to go back to F1 status after my OPT expires. I haven't utilized my STEM extension yet, as I understand it ll be only granted once. I am planning to enroll into ITU.EDU which is close to where I work and reside. But I have come across various forums where people have mentioned that OPT's usually gets denied from this particular university. Have anyone come across this before? Any suggestions and advice will be appreciated.

I believe the start date of the extension begins on the day after the expiration of the initial post-completion OPT. I don't think you can go back to F1 status and apply for extension later. You only get one OPT for one degree level.

Yes I'm from itu ... Be ready for rfe if u r applying from itu ..

Its not just OPT STEM extension.. You will get OPT only once per degree level. so if you have used your 12 months of OPT .. you will not qualify for it again if you are doing another Masters... you have to work on CPT. Do get all the correct information before enrolling.
