Travelling to India and returning on week before H1 filing

Hi All
Thanks for providing solutions and suggestions for the guys like me.
I have question, I am working for a consulting firm. I have just started my OPT extension

1.Is it safe to travel India in the month of February and coming back in last week of March?

2.Because a week after will be H1 filling, will that effect me at my immigration check (coming exactly a week before)?

3.what all the documents that I need carry while travelling?

4. My Employer also filing H1 for this year, so a week time enough from my side for filing H1?

Generally it will take a month to prepare all documentation

You should be safe. All documentation can be submitted to ur company and attorney as and when required. Mostly you send them scanned copies.. Be sure for your I-94. If you have issues generating them on the CBP website, you mig be in a bind considering you will have a week to get it sorted if you have any issues at the CBP deferred inspection site.

You are fine !! But provide all the documents that requires to file your h1 to your employer before leaving to India and submit your I -94 once you came back to US ! Last year I was also in the same situation and I got my h1 without any issues !
