Cancel Pre-opt application

1) Can I cancel pre-opt application ? My case was received by USCIS on 4th Dec.
2) I want to cancel because my start date is on 12th jan and I don't think it is possible for EAD to come within 1week margin.
3) I have others options by which I can still do internship in final semester.

You have to write an letter to the USCIS center. You have to clearly mention case no and reason for withdrawing application.

you can withdraw your application before it approves by calling USCIS customer service !
