  • EAD- Country of Birth unknown

Hi I am a student and today I received of EAD card . In my card , my country of birth is mentioned as “UNKOWN” .
I checked my I-765 , and I think I made a mistake there . I just wrote place of birth exactly as my passport and left state and country blank since it was not there in my passport. I messed it up big time .
I have called USCIS ,and they said I am gonna hear back from them within 15 days.
Do I need to re-file the application again ?. I was hoping I could go to india and meet my parents as I already have an offer.

I know am stupid but it happened . Can you guys suggest me something .

There’s nothing to fear. If there was a problem, USCIS would not have issued the EAD card in the first place.

Hi , I was thinking I would replace my card after joining my company . I need to apply for my I9 and over there I need to show my EAD cad.
If I replace my card during my employment does it halt my job??

EAD is only for employment but not for re-entry or travel.
