Employment on OPT

Hello, I am on a F1 status on Exercise Science(physical Therapy) related field. I am going to apply OPT in this December. I have couple of questions which I really need to be solved
1. what are options available to maintain my status if I won't get any employment within 3 months of job searching period?
2. Anyone know any consultancy who can employ Exercise (physical Therapy) related field student so I can start my pay roll on OPT to start it?

Please please help me out with my questions.
