Applying for stem extension with short term offer letter

Hi . I am working as programmer intern (temporary position) which is ending on March 1,2015 My opt is expiring on 17 feb,2015 and I need to apply for stem extension starting from feb 18,2015.Is it possible to apply for stem extension with offer letter with end date as March 1,2015.
A)will it be approved or not ?
B) also, I am planning to go to India around March 5.Will it be Ok at poe for unpaid offer letter from consultancy ?
Please advise soon.it is urgent

yes STEM extension has to be paid. You have to have a paid job offer letter at the POE. However with the initial short term offer letter, you will get the OPT STEM extension approved.

I guess u spoke to me before .. With unpaid letter it is not possible for stem ext .. Stem ext has to paid job
