OPT EAD Card Status

Hello,

I have applied for my OPT EAD card and sent to Arizona center on September 24.After a few days I checked the status and it was under initial review with the date received as September 26 and I do get the mail receipt copy for the same. Today I checked to see if there are any progress in my case, but I don't see any update rather the website has a new look and status shows as Case Received with date of October 14 instead of September 26.Now this is making to little confuse as I submitted my case on September 26 why they are showing as October 14.

Anyone has similar issues?

From my experience with my OPT card case status and H1-B case status, I have learnt that the status they show on their website is very unreliable. Its not real-time. For my OPT card, the status went directly from received to card in production! For my H1, it was showing as initial review even after i received the approval notice!

So I'd say you don't need to panic. As long as you have that email confirmation, your good.

I submitted to Texas on sept 19 and received receipt after 10 days , after getting the receipt I checked online they received my documents and its last updated on September 22 it showing initial review , my OPT start date is nov 1 it is still showing initial review and still they didn't update anything I'm worried. I don't how many days does it take to get the EAD card

They might be last updated on October 14 I think but in my case it still showing the same date they not even updated anything from last 50 days

Same thing happen to me. First the system shown received date was 26 August ....now it shown 28 August . What's the he'll going on....I don't understand.

Ya same here...First they showed that they received it on 24 Sept and now it shows they have received it on Sept 29!

For mine it showed initial review til 88 days , but on 89 day it changed to card generated.

Same thing happend with me..initially(before uscis website new look) on uscis it was showing 21st oct as received date, yesterday it was showing 24th oct as received date, and today it is showing 21st oct as received date.

dont worry when ever they make changes to the case some time the dates will change thats not going to b e an issue.looks like your file is moving expect your card soon good luck

Its been 3 weeks since I got my receipt number and still status is showing as receipt number not found
